Co-opted Governor

Katrina has been a Governor at Sandhurst since July 2024. With a strong background in Primary Education, she has a particular focus on School Development and Mathematics Education. Katrina completed her teacher training at the University of Brighton, followed by a PGCert in the Mathematics Specialist Teacher Programme. Over the past decade, she has gained extensive experience teaching in local primary schools.

In her current role, Katrina works with The Maths Hub and the NCETM, delivering specialised mathematics training to schools across Kent and Sussex, in addition to continuing her teaching practice. She lives in Hawkhurst with her young family and hopes her children will attend Sandhurst Primary School in the future.

Katrina is committed to using her expertise in education and school development to support Sandhurst Primary in its ongoing journey of reflection and improvement, ensuring the school continues to pursue excellence while fostering a happy and nurturing environment for its students.
