Welcome to Pankhurst Class
Hi, I’m Mrs Reeves and I am the teacher of Pankhurst Class. I have been working at Sandhurst for over 20 years and have worked in Years 3, 2, 1 and EYFS. I have been KS1 leader for over 10 years and take pride in being a mentor to trainee teachers and NQTs at our school. I work closely with Sandhurst nursery as transition into Primary school is key to a successful start to school. The well-being of pupils is key to engagement and involvement to school life, and working in partnership with parents.
I like teaching a cross-curricular, creative curriculum tailored to our pupils’ interests. I encourage outdoor learning and love seeing the children engaging in imaginative play which leads to amazing writing and opportunities for investigation.
Gardening club is an extra-curricular activity I enjoy leading with a fellow colleague. The produce was enjoyed last year by all the hard workers who attend the club and shared with the rest of the school.
I feel so lucky to work in a rural school with such facilities which mean we get to enhance pupils’ learning so we have happy and healthy pupils.

Our Class Name
Emmeline Pankhurst was a British political activist and leader of the British suffragette movement who helped women win the right to vote. In 1999 Time named Pankhurst as one of the 100 Most Important People of the 20th Century, stating “she shaped an idea of women for our time; she shook society into a new pattern from which there could be no going back”.
