An introduction to Purple Mash
As we ease back to school after the summer break, we will begin with an introduction to Purple Mash focussing on the essential skills for beginning the year 3 scheme units. It will be a useful refresher in the basics.

Touch-typing
In term 1 we will be introducing the children to touch typing. We will learn:

- Finger positioning
- Typing techniques to develop speed and accuracy, while understanding how these skills support safe and effective computer use.

In Term 2 we will explore electronic communication using 2Email. We will learn:

- How to respond to, compose and add attachments to emails as well as consider the safety aspects of email communication.
- Composing and replying to emails
- Opening and sending attachments
- Using email safely
