Headteacher Governor
Amanda Norman is the Headteacher and governor of the governing body for this school. She has been a governor since 2014 at Goudhurst and Kilndown Primary School where she worked for the past seventeen years.
Amanda began teaching in Kent in 1990 after completing a B.Ed. with Honours at the University of London, Goldsmiths’ College. All three of her children attended Goudhurst and Kilndown Primary School and then went onto The High Weald and Cranbrook. The elder two then went on to Nottingham University before embarking on their own careers. Her youngest son currently attends Norwich University of the Arts.
As well as developing her role as Assistant Head at Goudhurst and Kilndown and teaching across all year groups, Amanda lived at Bethany School as a boarding houseparent for many years; she also works as a County moderator for Kent for KS1 and KS2. In 2017 Amanda was proud to pass her NPQH.
